Stuart draws on his early career as a theatre designer to create sculpture, installations and film. Following a postgraduate in design for production at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, he received a scholarship to the Manchester Royal Exchange Theatre. He has held a life-long fascination with model-making and his latest works explore illusion and containment. He has spent the last year on the Turps Correspondence Course. Prior to joining the Arches Studios in 2021, Stuart worked in education as a teacher and latterly as a headteacher of a secondary school in Southampton.
